Arsenal play fellow London rivals Chelsea for the 139th FA Cup at Wembley Stadium!

Arsenal have had a disastrous season in the league and Europe, but they can redeem themselves somewhat with an FA Cup victory here. They are the most successful team in the history of the competition with 13 wins — one more than Manchester United. The Gunners surprisingly overcame Manchester City in the semi-finals despite being underdogs thanks to two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. He’s at current odds of 5/4 to grab a goal in the final.

Road to the final

R3 Arsenal 1-0 Leeds

R4 Bournemouth 1-2 Arsenal

R5 Portsmouth 0-2 Arsenal

QF Sheffield United 1-2 Arsenal

SF Arsenal 2-0 Manchester City

Chelsea have had a better season in the league compared to their opponents, but still disappointing by their standards. Their transfer ban will no longer hamper them, and they will expect themselves to improve upon their performances from this season. At the moment, they are the favourites to win the FA Cup and their seemingly simple win over Manchester United was somewhat fortunate due to the howlers of goalkeeper David de Gea. Chelsea are at odds of 23/20 to win the FA Cup.

Road to the final

R3 Chelsea 2-0 Nottingham Forest

R4 Hull 1-2 Chelsea

R5 Chelsea 2-0 Liverpool

QF Leicester 0-1 Chelsea

SF Manchester United 1-3 Chelsea

Match preview

The mental scars of last season’s Europa League final could hang over Arsenal as Chelsea thrashed them 4-1 in that match with former Arsenal man Olivier Giroud scoring the first goal; he’s at 24/5 to get the first goal in this game. Both sides have been highly unpredictable this season; making it a difficult match to call. Chelsea still have players that are experienced in cup finals, and they’ll be looking to rely on that experience to get a victory over their London rivals. Arsenal will be attempting to exploit Chelsea’s goalkeeper crisis at the moment with veteran keeper Willy Caballero likely to start over Kepa Arrizabalaga — a player in wretched form.

Injuries & suspensions

Arsenal: Gabriel Martinelli, Shkodran Mustafi, Bernd Leno (doubt), Pablo Mari and Calum Chambers.

Chelsea: n/a
