King Power Stadium, Leicester, United Kingdom.
Sunday 1st December.
Kick-off: 16:30 (UK).
English Premier League.
TV: Sky Sports Premier League (UK).
This week’s biggest Premier League match is a tale of two contrasting managers as Brendan Rodgers’ high-flying Leicester are at home to Marco Silva’s struggling Everton.
Leicester are in fantastic form this season with some even suggesting that this team is better than the one that won the league in 2016. Leicester are currently 25/1 to win another Premier League title. While it’s too early to tell if Leicester are genuine contenders for the title, it won’t come as a massive shock if they qualify for the Champions League next season.
Last chance saloon?
The main talking point in this match is that Marco Silva is still in a job at Everton. Sitting in 16th place, a loss here will surely spell the end of his time as Everton manager. Struggling for goals and not being particularly strong at the back are not good ingredients for success. Not finding an adequate replacement for Romelu Lukaku still haunts Everton to this today – it has been two years since he left.
Everton did manage a victory during the last meeting at the King Power Stadium with Gylfi Sigurdsson grabbing the winner. Everton are at odds of 21/5 to make it two wins in a row at Leicester. Leicester are the team in-form, they have the best defence in the league and are behind only Manchester City in the scoring charts – so expect them to be on the front foot for the majority of this game. Leicester striker Jamie Vardy is on fire this season with 12 goals to his name already; STS have odds of 3/1 for him to be the first goalscorer.
Everton: Bernard and Andre Gomes
It’s difficult to look past a Leicester victory. Still, we believe Everton will manage to bag themselves a goal as well. STS are offering generous odds of 85/40 for a Leicester win and both teams to score.
